Colours of a Cantonese Wind

Pocahontas by Disney screencapture with Pocahontas and John Smith

There are so many Disney movies that I haven’t watched, but I am glad that one I have watched is Pocahontas. I’m told that when I was younger, I used to ask to watch it all the time. Of course, I don’t really remember this, but I do remember having watched it a lot throughout the years. Now that I think about it, I’m pleased that I was so open minded for cross-cultural relationships - but who cares about skin colour or anything else when you’re a kid.

I discovered this Cantonese version of ‘Colours of the Wind’ from Pocahontas today while searching up all kinds of Cantonese version of various films, and I’m more than pleased. It’s a ‘Cantopop’ version, but nonetheless a good listen. Perhaps a little strange seeing as John Smith is English and Pocahontas is American Indian, but I guess it appeals to the nostalgic side of me.

I would be thrilled if I ever managed to purchase the Cantonese versions of all these films. :)
